Arkadian - The Last Word
Author: Regret
Rating: PG
Word Count: 100
Summary: Sometimes, just when Arkadiy feels just a little closer to Paradigm, the pilot has to go and ruin it.
“You know, I never had you down as being 37.” Paradigm broke the silence without turning toward him.
“Really?” Arkadiy studied his companion’s profile. His lone eye was locked on the window and it was clear that he wasn’t looking at the view. The longing etched on his face told the soldier that he was staring at the spacescape of his mind.
“Yeah.” Paradigm stretched his arms above his head and yawned widely. “First thought you were in your mid-forties.”
The half-smile froze on Arkadiy’s face. He had to hand it to him: just for once he’d left him speechless.
